The pantheon is divided into two families: the Aesir (gods of war, power, wisdom) and the Vanir (gods of fertility, sea, magic). Once they fought. Now they are bound by peace and exchanged hostages.
But the heavens are empty. The gods are silent. Sacrifices rot on the altars. Omens are not read — or they are read, but they mean nothing. Volvas enter trance and find emptiness where the threads of fate used to be. Valhalla accepts no new warriors. Freyja does not answer the call.
Something is broken in the weave of the world. And no one knows what comes next.
